Groundcovers

Groundcovers are spreading and low-growing perennials. Great for adding color and beautiful foliage to large areas and filling spaces.

  • Bugleweed – ‘Chocolate Chip’ (Ajuga reptans)

    A low-growing ground cover, with chocolate-covered narrow leaves form dense mats. Blue spike-like spring flowers April through May. Grows 6” – 12” per year. Attracts hummingbirds. Deer resistant. Part shade to full shade.

  • Bugleweed – Black Scallop (Ajuga reptans)

    A low growing perennial, with dark-as-night purple, shimmering foliage with gorgeously scalloped leaves. Blue flowers in spring. Grows to 4″ tall and spreads. Full sun to full shade.

  • Bugleweed – Pink Lightning (Ajuga reptans)

    A low-growing ground cover, also known as Bugleweed, producing mint green leaves with creamy-white edges. Short, pink spike-like flowers bloom April – May. Grows up to 4-6” tall and spreads. Deer resistant. Part shade to full shade.

  • Ivy – Glacier Variegated (Hedera helix)

    A hardy Ivy with variegated silver green foliage, edged in white. A good trailing plant for container combinations or to planted in the ground as a groundcover or climbing vine. Very winter hardy. Grows 4″ tall and spreads. Full sun to full shade.

  • Ivy – Golden Child (Hedera helix)

    A hardy English Ivy with variegated yellow and green leaves. A good trailing plant for planters or plant in the ground as a climbing vine or groundcover. Very winter hardy. Grows 4-6″ tall and spreads. Full sun to full shade.
