Description

This North America prairie native produces fern-like, deeply divided, blue-green foliage topped with purple to reddish-pink, nodding, bowl-shaped flowers in late spring. Flowers are followed by interesting 2″ seed heads which resemble plumes of smoke. Grows 6-18″ tall and wide. Full to part sun.
