At Creekside Gardens, we grow all of our own mums, right here in our greenhouses! We let nature take the lead — as the days grow shorter in late summer and fall, our mums respond naturally by setting their flower buds. We never manipulate day length to force early blooming, which means healthier plants and a full season of color for you.
Typically, mums bloom for 4-6 weeks once they get started, no matter when that happens to be. That’s why buying mums already in full bloom, as many garden centers offer, means you’re only getting another week or two of flowers before they fade. For the longest lasting flowers, choose mums that are still packed with tight, unopened buds or just beginning to show color.
With over 50 varieties on hand, we offer early, mid, and late season bloomers, so you can plan for continuous color from late summer all the way through fall. Combined with our thousands of mums in a wide range of colors and sizes, all grown right here in our own greenhouses, you’re sure to find the perfect, longest blooming hardy mums for your yard!
